Brickium · Guide
What can I build with the bricks I already have?
Tell Brickium which bricks you own, say in one sentence what you want, for example "a small car with four wheels", and it designs a model that uses only those parts, with step-by-step 3D instructions. A checker confirms every part is in your inventory before the design is shown. If your bricks cannot make it, it says so instead of quietly changing the request.
How it works, in three steps
- Add your bricks. Photograph a handful (about thirty common part types are recognised), or type a set number or a part number. Brickium keeps the list and marks parts that are built into a model as in use.
- Say what you want. Plain words: a small car, a house with a red roof, a robot. The AI proposes a design using only your parts; the wait is about 40 seconds.
- Build it. Every step is shown in 3D with studio lighting; the parts list tells you what to pull out first. Save or share a picture of the finished model.
Why the result is actually buildable
The AI only proposes. A deterministic checker then verifies that every part exists in your inventory in that colour, that no two parts overlap, and that every brick is supported and connected. A design that fails is never shown and never charged.
What it builds today
Models are made from 29 basic part types in 20 colours, so they are small and blocky by design: cars, houses, animals, robots, furniture. It is not a replacement for official sets; it is a way to turn a bin of loose bricks into tonight’s build.

Questions people ask
Does it work with LEGO bricks?
Yes: standard building bricks, including LEGO® bricks and bricks compatible with them. Brickium is independent and not affiliated with the LEGO Group.
How many bricks do I need?
Enough to make something. A small model uses a few dozen parts; if a request needs wheels or a colour you do not have, Brickium tells you why instead of changing the request, and a failed attempt does not use a creation.
Do I need an account?
Not to look around: the app opens without one and the example works straight away. Keeping an inventory, creating models and buying packs need an account, with Apple or Google sign-in.
Is it free?
The app, adding bricks and scanning are free. A new account gets one free creation and a second after finishing a first build; more come in packs from $2.99. No subscription.
