Can an AI really design a brick model that I can build?

On its own, not reliably: a language model will happily draw a part you do not own or float a brick in mid-air. Brickium therefore lets the AI only propose, then runs a deterministic checker that verifies every part is in your inventory in that colour, that no parts overlap, and that every brick is supported and connected. A design that fails any check is never shown and never charged.

What the checker tests

  • Inventory: every part and colour in the design exists in your bin, in the quantity used.
  • Geometry: no two parts occupy the same space.
  • Support: every brick rests on something and is connected to the model, step by step, so the sequence is buildable in order.

What happens when a request fails

Brickium tells you why: the wrong shapes, too few of a colour, no wheels for a car. It does not quietly swap in parts you do not have. A failed attempt does not use a creation.

The honest limits

Designs use 29 basic part types in 20 colours, so models are small and blocky. Photo recognition covers about thirty common parts. The design wait is about 40 seconds. If a step in the instructions does not fit, the parts data has an error: tell us which model and which step, and it gets fixed.

Questions people ask

Is the checker also AI?

No. It is deterministic code: the same model and the same inventory always give the same verdict.

Why are the models small?

Because Brickium currently designs with 29 basic part types in 20 colours. Keeping the vocabulary small is what makes the buildability checks reliable.

Does a failed design cost a creation?

No. A creation is used only when a model is delivered.
