Brickium · Guide
How is Brickium different from set instructions or an instruction website?
Set instructions build one model from exactly the parts in the box. Instruction sites share other people’s models, which usually need parts you lack. Brickium starts from your bin: it designs a new, small model from only the parts you own and verifies that it can be built before showing it. It is for loose bricks, not for rebuilding a set.
Compared with the instructions in the box
- Instructions assume you have the set’s parts; Brickium assumes only what is in your inventory.
- Instructions give one model; Brickium gives a new one each time you ask, within what your parts allow.
- Brickium’s models are smaller and simpler than most sets: 29 basic part types, 20 colours.
Compared with instruction and ideas websites
- A shared model is only useful if you have its parts; Brickium checks your parts first.
- Brickium checks geometry and support as well as inventory, so the steps go together in order.
- It will not produce the elaborate models you see on fan sites. Think tonight’s build, not a display piece.
Compared with other AI brick tools
- Many AI builders are research demos or generate shapes without an inventory; Brickium is a consumer app whose designs are tied to the bricks you listed.
- The deterministic checker, not the AI, decides whether a model is shown.
- If your bricks cannot make a request, Brickium says why rather than changing the request.
What it is not
- Not a parts store, and not affiliated with any brick manufacturer. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this app.
- Not a replacement for official instructions; it does not reproduce sets.
- Not available in mainland China.
Questions people ask
Can Brickium rebuild a set I own?
No. Enter the set number to add its parts to your inventory, and Brickium will design new small models from them, but it does not reproduce the set’s own model.
Does it work with bricks from other brands?
With standard building bricks compatible with LEGO bricks, yes. The catalogue is based on Rebrickable data.
Can it make big models?
Not yet. Designs use 29 basic part types in 20 colours and are small by design.
